Position Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Purpose Provide strategic leadership and management of the accounting and finance functions of a financial institution operating with a Christian perspective.
Reporting Relationships Reports to: CEO

Responsible for: Cashier and assistants

Key Responsibilities 1.      Prepare financial statements and other reports for the Board on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

2.      Oversee efficient operation of client deposit services through supervision of cashier’s office.

3.      Provide insight into risk analysis of operating a financial institution.

4.      Work with external auditor to oversee preparation of audited financial statements.

5.      Oversee CRA reporting requirements for registered and open client funds.

6.      Create, support and maintain a positive team culture in alignment with MTL’s vision, mission and values.

Qualifications Business / Commerce degree or equivalent experience.  Accounting designation, or progress towards one.  Financial Planning designation also of significant value.  Experience working in the management of a financial institution is a definite asset.  As an arm of our three owning church bodies, we expect our staff to display evidence of Christ-like character in their daily lives.
Working Conditions Capable of managing multiple priorities, people and deadlines in an office environment. Management work hours implied.

Investment Advisor

More about this position:

Purpose To guide and assist clients in the process of developing prudent investment portfolios.
Reporting Relationships Reports to: Chief Investment Officer
Key Responsibilities 1.       Meet with investment clients to discuss goals and present investment options.

2.       Prepare documentation for all files and ensure organization of files are orderly and complete.

3.       Complete ongoing management of investment portfolio including review of files and required client disclosure.

4.       Assist with preparation of personal income tax returns for investment and other clients as required.

5.       Support and maintain a positive team culture in alignment with MTL’s vision, mission, and values.

Qualifications Business / Commerce degree or equivalent experience.    Personality that enables building strong relationships with clients.  Experience working in a server environment, with skills in word processing and spreadsheet programs.
Working Conditions Capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines in an office environment. 37.5 hour work week if full time.

Estate and Trust Administrator

More about this position:

Purpose Provide assistance to clients, estate beneficiaries, and teammates in the areas of Estate and Trust Administration and in the preparation of Estate Planning documents.
Reporting Relationships Reports to: Waldheim Branch Manager
Key Responsibilities 1.       Effectively communicate with beneficiaries, financial institutions, government agencies, and other companies and other individuals as required.

2.       With the file manager, oversee and direct all matters of estate and trust administration required of MTL, to completion.

3.       Prepare Will and POA documents according to instructions from Estate Planners.

4.       Support and maintain a positive team culture in alignment with MTL’s vision, mission, and values.

Qualifications CETA or TEP education, or MTI credentials are beneficial. Business school certificate or equivalent experience.  Strong interpersonal, administrative, and organizational skills.  Experience working in a server environment, with skills in word processing and spreadsheet programs.
Working Conditions Capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines in an office environment. 37.5 hour work week if full time.

Loan Administrator

Purpose Provide administrative assistance to the lender relating to managing the loan portfolio.
Reporting Relationships Reports to: Waldheim Branch Manager
Key Responsibilities 1.       Prepare documentation for all files and ensure organization of files is orderly and complete.

2.       Complete annual maintenance of loan portfolio including review of loan files and required client disclosure.

3.       Prepare monthly and annual reports.

4.       Support and maintain a positive team culture in alignment with MTL’s vision, mission, and values.

Qualifications 1.       Administration certificate or equivalent experience is beneficial.

2.       Applicant must be self-motivated, highly organized, and have great attention to detail and accuracy.

3.       Experience working in a server environment, with skills in word processing and spreadsheet programs.

Working Conditions Capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines in an office environment. 37.5 hour work week if full-time.
